Vitamin C side effects? I frequently take Vitamin C but only chewable. For the last 4 days I am tkaing 1000 mg buffered Vit C (non chewable).I am expreiencing Blisters in my mouth and tongue and are increasing. My stomach is OK and i didn't eat anything else that may have caused it. Please guide of my guess is right

Small Veins and Vitamin C? I recently went to the doctor to have blood drawn and was told that I had small veins. I figured the reason it took so long to give blood when I donated was because the technicians were horrible, but apparently it's not them or 'rolling veins' but instead the size. I take a lot of vitamin C, more than one human being ought to (with my once a day vitamin and vitamin c caplet, near 1000%, which I am going to stop taking in a week or so), and I'm wondering if my small veins are a product of that... I know that large capillaries can cause bruising, as can vitamin C deficiency. So does Vitamin C overdose (or close to it I suppose) cause small capillaries? I'm aware of the other side effects Vitamin C overdose causes and thank goodness I do not have them, but have been unable to find a link between Vitamin C and small veins, yet have my suspicions. On the giving blood thing... I have given 4 times and each time my blood pressure was fine. I drink a ton of water, especially since I don't drink caffeine under normal circumstances and can't have coffee, tea, or alcohol. Around donation time, I have a full meal 2 hours before I give and drink about 20 ounces between eating and giving, with another 6 ounces right before. My blood pressure is always normal, but it takes forever for them to obtain the pint, usually around 30 minutes. vitamin side effect? i have been taking vitamin C for the past month to keep my immune system up since i work with the public. i probably take 1,000 milligrams every other night. well, for the past couple of weeks my throat has been way sore, i have been drinking more and peeing less. is the vitamin C causing dehydration? should i stop taking it? i have also been working 9 to 10 hour shifts with only a thirty minute break.. we've been short handed. i literally work atleast 7 hours straight with no break whatsoever. we are not allowed drinks on the clock so i don't get anything to drink for 7 to 8 hours sometimes. i get thirty minutes form my lunch and to sit and then straight back to work. i have done this on an eleven hour shift.

Vitamin C is ok, but can you overdose on rose hips? My boyfriend is a big fan of Vitamin C. Synthroid and Vitamin C? Okay, this is a wierd question and a shot in the dark. I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and am now on synthroid. No side effects or anything. But everyone around me is sick, and this morning I woke with a funny-feeling throat. So I'm blasting myself with Vitamin C. I plan to take between 6,000-8,000 mg today, (I'm putting Emergen-C in my water) and may keep this up for the next 2 or 3 days depending on how I feel. Should this be alright with the syntroid?
