do multivitamins have all the vitamins and minerals that we need?
some days i eat good some days i don't, so i want to start taking a multivitamin daily. do most multivitamins have everything we need in them? are there any vitamins that multivitamins go overboard on? i don't want to get so much of one thing that it's harmful. thanks.

- Stick to a good brand multi vitamin, it will be better quality. You will also want to get one the is geared towards women, and in your age bracket. There is all sorts of different types, I take one that is geared more towards active people. I think it helps me with a little zip in my step. I know that i don't always fulfill my needs through my diet so I think that it is valuable to my health.
- the problem with vitamins is; most of the vitamins and minerals are not in forms that our body can properly digest. its great to have in addition to healthy foods; but dont expect to take a multivitamin a day and then eat nothing but crap the rest of the time. our bodies absorb natural vitamins better; ones that come from food and animal based sources. althought the vitamin is very very helpful to everyones health..i suggest you eat healthy also. :] *if you're a female; make sure you take a vitamin with extra iron and zinc. if you dont get enough of this; you could become anemic and very very sick.*
