Standard Process Vitamins

What standard process vitamins or other supplements should be takin with Prescribed thyroid meds?

I have hypothyroid for over year take Armour 1 1/12 grain current TSH is 5.21 I use to take Standard process supplements Drenamin and dinotrophin DMG. I am feeling tired again and stressed what do others with hypothyroid take as supplements??

1. go see an endocrinologist. Armour thyroid is a POOR form of replacement , and you can become sensitized to it. In addition to that TSH goal now is about 2.0. You are underreplaced and on the wrong product. Get on levothyroxine and the doctor will adjust dose to TSH 2.0, you really should not do the supplements!
2. Since you have a prescribed supplement I would suggest talking to your doctor or physician. But green tea and EGCG are good supplements to take without worrying about caffeine.
3. Most people are advised to take Iodine rich supplements within the admissible range. Iodises salt for example.

5. I just take a regular women's multivitamin along with my Levothyroxine. I got to much conflicting information while researching alternative treatments for hypothyroidism. One source said to take something, while another said that the same thing could interfere with absorbtion of prescription medications. One source said to avoid something, the next said it enhanced thyroid function. I got frustrated and decided not to take anything different.
6. Thyroid is not to be taken lightly, all questions about medication ahould go through your doctor. You don't want anything influencing your levels. My mum has thyroid and she has her own qualified naturopath but always consults her doctor first. You never know if the tiredness is to do with your levels, have you had recent blood tests?
