Taking Different Vitamins and Supplements Together?

I have begun to take a number of vitamins/supplements daily. Here is what I take: 1 vitamin C (to boost my immune system) 1 vitamin E (for healthy skin) 2 cranberry supplement pills (to prevent urinary tract infections, which I am prone to get) 2 apple cider vinegar pills 1 women's One-A-Day multivitamin I am wondering if taking all these together can be harmful to me? Thanks!

  1. the One-day has the complete line check the nutrition label. If you're adding more Vitamin C, the body can only use so much then it discards the extra. the vitamin E should also be in the 1-a-day redundant. the cranberry also has Vitamin C, redundant. Take some Oil of Oregano to fight and stave off infections. ◙ And since you're here in the alternative meds section, I would have thought you would be using the natural vitamins instead of the chemical based ones.
  2. Honey, if that were true, we wouldn't be able to eat different foods together w/ different vitamins, right?
  3. Jabril is partially right... taking the extra Vitamin C (which is water soluble) at the same time may be more than your body can absorb, so the excess may be excreted if you took it all at once. Taking those two at separate times of the day would be your best bet. As far as the Vitamin E, it depends on the potency in each of those. Vitamin E is fat soluble, so getting too much can build up in your system and getting too much over time could build up to toxic levels. Generally, most people should stick around 400 IU of Vitamin E per day, but some people need more and some need less. The rest of those are perfectly fine and healthy to take together. Also, if you are prone to UTIs, you may want to consider trying D-Mannose (a main constituent of Cranberry, but more potent) and/or Probiotics (which help to maintain a healthy internal ecology and help to fend against many types of bad bacteria). Good luck and I hope I helped!
