Taking vitamins and supplements to Mexico - do I need original packaging to identify what they are?
Usually when I travel I take only the vitamins and supplements I will need for the time I am away. This means I take them out of their bottles and put them in a travel pill case. I have never traveled internationally before so I've never been through customs and I am not sure what to expect. Can anyone shed some light on the best thing for me to do? The TSA website and the site for the airline I am using do not mention anything about this.

- You can continue to put them in the same travel pill case.
- I would leave them in the original bottles and put them in your checked luggage. I've heard stories of people having even prescription meds thrown out when put in their carry-on or even checked luggage without the original bottle. (That's why they recommend taking a copy of your prescription with you.)
- I traveled to Europe last fall with all of my vitamins and supplements (I take a TON) in a travel pill case, as did my two traveling companions. No questions asked.
