Standard Process Vitamins

Are liquid vitamins acceptable in place of tablets?

Lots of conflicting information and I can't seem to find good sources. Stomach acids seem to destroy some things which means you can't absorb them, but basic vitamins and minerals seem to be okay? Your body doesn't "instantly" begin absorbing this stuff, it has to pass through a rather acidic environment.

  1. i would think liquid to be better some in a tablet have such a hard shell on them they might not get disolved enough
  2. Better, because the digest easier.
  3. The human body consumes liquid vitamins better than in the pill form. At least thats what most of the doctors say. Again, you need to space the consumption properly. A gap of at least 10 hours between two doses is suggested. Hope this helps. http://www.vitaminpros.com/store/product.php?productid=16147
  4. Liquid vitamins are more than acceptable, they are far better. don't let all the double talk fool you. When it comes to choosing the best vitamin supplement, the most important important factor is bio-availablity. Simply put this is how much of the vitamin you take is available for your body to use. There is not a capsule, pill or tablet being manufactured today that can even come close to matching most all liquid vitamins of well over 90%. Most expert believe that the best engineered pills are 40% at the most. As far as the stomach acid destroying the vitamins and minerals, not to get too technical, but these is exactly what the digestive system was meant to do, break down foods into nutrients small enough to be absorbed. They are digested and broken down, not destroyed. Good Luck http://docformliquidvitamins.com/
