I heard Centrum Vitamins dont digest in the system. Have you ever taken Liquid Vitamins?
If so how do they work? Do they taste gross?

- You were told wrong. Liquid vitamins taste like you think they do. Centrum makes a chewable adult vitamin that tastes like orange vitamins if you are still under the incorrect assumption you won't digest it. Check your poop, see any whole vitamins? Not unless you have an ostomy and no colon to digest it. P.S.- Most doctors will tell you it is better to take your vitamins prior to going to bed as you pee out some of the vitamin when you take it in the morning. You tend to absorb more by doing it at night.
- That's somewhat true. But you'll still get a good dose of vitamins. Just not the entire amount. If you want to test the solubility of a vitamin drop it in a glass of luke warm water. If it breaks down into a pile within 30 minutes then it digests just fine. I personally like to stick a vitamin in my mouth and break it apart into a few pieces before I swallow it. This gives the vitamin more surface area and allows the body fluids to break it down faster. Liquid vitamins are much more digestible. But they're more expensive, and if you look at the vitamin concentration you'll see that it is less than what is in the pill. In other words the pill gives you more vitamins than your body needs which makes up for the amount that isn't digested.
- First off, centrum vitamins are poor quality. Go to Vitamine Shoppe or other health food stores for vitamins. Solgar and Schiff make good quality vitamins which are easier to obtain locally. Very good/best ones are more difficult to obtain locally, better off mail order/internet. As for liquid vitamins. You may either consume them as is by the tablespoon, or some require to be diluted in a cup of water. It depends on the product. As for taste, again, depends on the product. The one I have is a bit strong in taste, what I do is drink another 8-12oz of water afterwards to wash down the aftertaste. I must caution you with higher quality vitamins, whether it's tablet, gel, or liquid, keep them out of light and heat. They don't last more than 3 months in room temperature. Keep them in the refrigerator. Since they are more natural with less garbage in them, they break down more easily unlike Centrum which can last for a few years.
