What difference does it make when you take vitamins with water and when you take them with another liquid?
I've been taking vitamins with anything I drink, but my mom told told me you are only suppose to take vitamins with water. What difference does it make?

- Some liquids can lower the effectiveness of some vitamins. For instance, orange juice contains Vitamin C, which can block absorption of iron. Other than that specific example, I can't really think of any other interactions but I'm sure there are more. Really, it's best to take vitamins with food because then you will be more likely to absorb all of the vitamins.

- vitamins are water-soluble.If you take them, supplementally or through diet, they help your body to function normally and toxicity is rare because vitamins are dissolved in water easily and mostly eliminated through the kidney.Taking vitamins with pure water then is less toxic to our body. They remain for a very short time. If you take them supplementally, you need not to take it with other liquid because they are in drug form. Other liquid(e.g. soda) may interact with the supplements by their chemical components.
- well if its like a caffeine pill you are taking or something like that and you take it with soda, which has sugar and caffeine you could get really hyper you know.
