Multivitamins causes my urine to be really bright yellow?

I've been taking Health Express Multivitamins 3 times a day and it my urine turns into really bright yellow (kinda like Mountain Dew). Is this normal? Why does it turn like that? Hi krystie59. The bottle says I take it three times a day. And for all my life I have never drank this much water. Heard that athletes says your urine contains proteins and other vitamins, does this mean my system is not absorbing the nutrients from the pill?

1. why are you taking them 3 times a day? and also drink more water it will help flush your kidneys
2. Your bright yellow urine is perfectly normal, happens all the time for people taking big multivitamins. It means your body has absorbed all the nutrients it can use from the vitamin, and is releasing the rest. Just keep yourself hydrated and you will be fine.
3. ITs perfectly fine. Yes and drink the water! But 3 times a day? I take a multi vitamin and its only once. Maybe try cutting it down to 2 times a day. THe yellow I was told was a residue from the pill mixed with protien. Water water water, it will flush it out.
4. It is the B vitamins in the multivitamins that cause the bright yellow color and that is very normal. In general you are only supposed to take one multivitamin tablet per day but perhaps your particular one is different and you can take 3 tablets a day.
